Day-by-Day Itinerary

Participants are supervised throughout the journey by the Wildfoot team. Activities are selected and managed with age, weather, local conditions and participant wellbeing in mind.

Accommodation

This is a camping tour, with participants staying at safe, fenced campsites throughout the journey.

Tents and camping mattresses are provided for every participant. A detailed What to Bring section will explain which personal sleeping items and camping essentials each participant must pack.

Meals &

Dietary Requirements

Most meals will be freshly prepared outdoors and planned to include a balanced combination of protein, carbohydrates, vegetables, fruit and healthy fats.

All dietary requirements, food allergies, intolerances and medical dietary needs must be shared with Wildfoot before departure. Vegetarian and other special diets can usually be accommodated with advance notice.

Safety & supervision

Participants are supervised throughout the journey by the Wildfoot team, with clear routines, group rules and safety procedures in place. Activities, campsites and travel plans are selected with the age and wellbeing of the group in mind and may be adjusted when weather, road conditions or other safety considerations require it.

Parents will have access to 24/7 WhatsApp communication with the Wildfoot team throughout the programme.

Travel Documents and Requirements

Before departure, parents or legal guardians must ensure that each participant has the correct travel documents, insurance and consent forms for the full journey. Requirements may vary according to nationality, passport and travel route.

Programme route: Windhoek, Namibia to Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe

Valid Passport

The participant must have a valid passport with sufficient validity and blank pages for travel through Namibia, Botswana and Zimbabwe.

Flight Information

Parents must provide confirmed arrival details for Windhoek and onward or return travel details from Victoria Falls.

Parental Travel Consent

Signed consent from the participant’s parent or legal guardian is required for international travel and border crossings with the Wildfoot team.

Birth and Guardianship Documents

A full birth certificate or official equivalent may be required, together with custody or guardianship documents where applicable. Birth certificates and other official documents issued in a language other than English must be accompanied by a certified English translation.

Visas and Entry Permissions

Parents are responsible for obtaining all visas, transit permissions and entry documents required for Namibia, Botswana and Zimbabwe. Any official document issued in a language other than English must be accompanied by a certified English translation where required.

Travel and Medical Insurance

Comprehensive insurance must include medical treatment, emergency evacuation, repatriation, cancellation and suitable cover for the planned activities.

Medical Information

Parents must disclose all medical conditions, allergies, dietary needs and medication requirements before departure.

Programme Forms

Required forms include the booking terms, consent form, medical form, participant code of conduct and privacy and media consent.
