Adventure, Carefully Planned
The Youth Adventure Programme is designed to give teenagers a genuine sense of adventure while placing their safety, wellbeing and supervision at the centre of every decision.
Participants travel in a small, professionally guided group with an adult-to-participant ratio of approximately 1:5. They are supervised throughout the journey, including during travel, activities, campsite stays and overnight stops.
Wildfoot Adventure Safaris holds tourism and passenger-liability insurance, maintains emergency-support arrangements in Namibia and requires every participant to carry comprehensive personal travel insurance for the full route.
The programme is led by Colandri Reyneke, who holds a valid First Aid Level A qualification and has previous Wilderness First Aid Level 2 training.
Parents also receive daily WhatsApp updates and have access to a 24-hour emergency contact during the programme.
Adventure travel can never be completely risk-free. Wildfoot therefore takes reasonable precautions, prepares for foreseeable situations and may adjust activities or the itinerary when weather, road conditions, participant wellbeing or other safety considerations require it.

Concerned about the distance and length of the journey, or simply want to explore some of the best of Namibia on your own two-week adventure, you can travel alongside the Youth Adventure Programme in a way that suits you.
Parents may choose to join a guided group tour or book a self-drive journey following the same general route.
The Parallel Parents’ Tour links up with the Youth Adventure Programme after thier Week 2. From that point onward, parents and teenagers stay at the same locations, with parents in lodge accommodation and the youth group camping separately.
The two groups remain independent, and parents do not join the Youth Adventure Programme itself. However, you will be nearby, will be able to see your child if you wish, and will share selected activities during the final week.
Both journeys end together at Victoria Falls, allowing families to reunite and travel home together.
